What's Running Rooster?

Running Rooster, founded in Hollister, California, was started with a very simple idea:  “There ought to be a place to buy a good take-home meal for your family."  One that isn’t fast-food or highly processed, and one you won’t feel guilty spending money on.  Something you would cook at home if only you had the time.

And so began Great Food, Made Easy

Running Rooster devotes itself entirely to making authentic, traditional meals that are fresh, tasty, really convenient, and above all, honest food.  We make it quick and affordable for you to put a hand-made meal on your own home table – without shopping, without cooking, and without hassle.  Running Rooster is great food made easy.

Our meals are made the old fashioned way, by hand, with fresh ingredients and  lots of care.  Whenever possible, we work with the local growers of San Benito County to help provide our customers with the best ingredients possible.  That’s quality.  Select from our blue plate favorites like Old Fashioned Lasagna or our Memphis BBQ Ribs, build your own perfect burger, or grab a quick sandwich or salad.  You can pick up dinner from our store location in downtown Hollister, or have it delivered right to your home.  That’s convenience.  We'll package everything up at prices that may surprise you.  That’s value.
