Lunch Is Served!
Finally,
after two months of "coming soon", our lunch service has finally
started. For all of you Rooster-ites who are in town
during the day, Running Rooster is now offering lunch in the
store every open day (Monday through Saturday) from
11:00am to 3:00PM. Our menu isn't real broad but
it's the quality that counts. Starting today, you can get
our popular hot Pulled Pork sandwich, a
Smoked Turkey sandwich, a Roast Beef
sandwich, or a Chicken Apple Walnut salad (and we
have PB&J for the kiddies). We roast our own top sirloin
and smoke our own turkey -- fresh, and then we carve them on the
spot in front of you. Fresh meat, quality cheeses, fresh
bread, and good toppings make for a great sandwich. You
can get coleslaw or chips on the side, and we have drinks as
well.
Over the next couple weeks, we'll be expanding
the menu. Fresh-baked Ham sandwiches start next week, and
we'll soon be adding additional salads and a daily "hot lunch"
special (just like in school). So if you're hungry, come
on in and help us kick off this new service. We look
forward to seeing you.
Re-Opening on Saturdays
Running Rooster is going to be open on Saturdays again,
starting this Saturday. Saturday hours are from 11:00am
until 5:30pm.
New
England Clam Chowder
We're adding a new dish to the
dinner menu
tonight: New England Clam Chowder. This is home-made
clam chowder made the old-fashioned way, with real bacon,
onions, celery, cream, fresh thyme, and of course, lots of great
clam meat. We even give you those little crackers on the
side. The weather has gotten crisp and nippy, and a hot
bowl of clam chowder with some crusty french bread and a salad
will make a great meal. Let us know what you think.
Last
Week For Picasso Pizza
Believe me, my kids are going to miss having this on Friday
nights, but not everything we do passes the customer test.
I know that there are a few really dedicated Picasso Pizza fans
out there (I'm one), but there's just not enough of us.
So, with heavy heart I am canceling the Picasso Pizza on
Fridays. This Friday will be the last week. I'll try
to make enough for everyone who wants one this Friday.
