Broiled Ginger Salmon with Cilantro-Wasabi Sauce

In response to a request from one of our regulars to put something less traditional and more zesty on the menu, this Friday (the 14th) we are trying out a new dish based upon the wonderful wild salmon we get from Papa Joe.  Broiled Ginger Salmon with Cilantro-Wasabi Sauce is an asian-fusion dish that marinates boneless filets of fresh wild Pacific salmon in fresh ginger, garlic, extra virgin olive and sesame oils before broiling and serving them with Cilantro-Wasabi sauce on the side to finish it off.  This dish is not only explodes with flavor, but it is healthy too, with no added animal fats, only the naturally occurring healthy fish oils of the wild salmon.

Last chance for our Shrimp Po' Boy Sandwich

This Friday is the last day we'll be serving up our New Orleans style Shrimp Po' Boy.  These sandwiches are made on a soft white sandwich roll with a shrimp salad using cocktail shrimp from Papa Joe, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and the special ingredient - authentic house-made Cajun Remoullade sauce.  It's the sauce that gives it a little extra kick.  A great deal at only $5.99!

Easter Dinner Specials -- Order by Tuesday

Just a reminder that the cutoff for ordering the Roast Leg of Lamb (sliced, sold by the pound) or the Bourbon Glazed Hams (whole hams) is this Tuesday by 7:30.  More information about these Easter specials in the previous Rooster News Letter.  Easter specials to be picked up Saturday, April 15 from our kitchen.

There are always two approaches to life--you can laugh, or you can cry.  As it appears the rain isn't going to let up any time soon, and everyone's getting a bit grumpy about it (myself included), I choose to try and laugh.  As the rain keeps falling on our heads, lets remember Bill Cosby's famous comedy routine with this week's discount phrase "Noah--I want you to build an ark."  You can refresh your memory on this one at http://www.evtv1.com/player.aspx-itemnum-703.  Or, just eating lots of yummy soup helps beat the rain blues too.  Remember to use this phrase for a quick 10% discount on every order throughout this week at Running Rooster.
