Hello folks, this is Jim (the Cook) with a Rooster News Flash.

Running Rooster Closed This Week (June 5 - 9)

Have you ever had one of those times when a date creeps up on you and you go "Wow, it's June already?"  Brenda swears I've got creeping senility.  Anyway, for a while now, we've been talking about and planning for a little remodel at the Running Rooster store.  Primarily so we can reconfigure our lunch service areas for speedier service.  We're thrilled that lunch at Running Rooster is getting as popular as it is, but now we have to make sure that we are prepared to keep up with it.  We need to move a few things around, get a little plumbing and electrical work done, you know how it goes.

So I've got a guy who says that this will all be done in 3 or 4 days.  A week, tops.  Really.  He swears -- no problem.  (Those of you who have had any remodeling done on your house can now get up off the floor and try to stop laughing.)

Seriously, we expect to be closed all this week.  We may get lucky and be able to open again on Friday, but that depends upon a few other people.  We'll keep the website posted, and we will send another Rooster News to let you know when we are open again for business, but we'll plan on seeing you all a week from today (Monday).  We're sorry if this messes up anyone's plans for lunch or dinner this week.

We do have a few catering jobs scheduled this week and we will take care of those folks from the kitchen, so don't anyone worry.  Also, we are cooking up an open house with some specials for the night of the Saddle Horse Parade (June 22nd), so keep that date circled.

Thanks, and we'll see you in a week (June 12).  Take care.

- Jim (The Cook)
